About Zoe Helene

Zoe Helene is an accomplished artist, cultural activist and environmental activist but is most well-known for founding Cosmic Sister, an environmental feminism collective, in 2007. Cosmic Sister focuses on women in the psychedelic space and is heavily involved with advocacy projects that promote plant medicines to “jump-start rapid cultural evolution.”

Zoe equally coined and popularized the phrase “psychedelic feminism”, to describe her work supporting women in psychedelics. Her TEMENO (an indigenous Greek word meaning sacred space) Talking Circles provide a place for women to come together to discuss their work in psychedelic medicine and provide a forum for exploring the aftermath of  gender imbalances caused  by society’s patriarchal programming.

Zoe’s work has been featured in several top-tier media organizations including The Third Wave, CNN Health, Forbes and Psymposia. She travels the world promoting indigenous rights and traditions with her husband, Chris Kilham, and his most recent work, The Ayahuasca Test Pilots Handbook: The Essential Guide to Ayahuasca Journeying, is dedicated to her.
